Video Tutorial Button Announcement

Welcome to my video tutorial button announcement! Recently I’ve added a tutorial button on all the templates for my website and blog. Located all the way to the top right of every webpage, the tutorial button allows my online visitors to go straight to my video tutorial page to view any of my video tutorials in a single place.
Notice the photo at the left shows the before and after with and without the new “Tutorials” button. With a simple addition of one line in all my website templates it was possible to add the new button for easy access to my tutorials, all on a single page!
If you have an existing website for your small business, I wouldn’t suggest making changes to your own code unless you’re absolutely sure you know what you’re doing. Making template adjustments is something that should be left to your web designer, who would know to backup your original before altering anything. One character change can throw your entire website’s appearance off kilter, so avoid making changes without expert help.

Trackback File After WordPress Updates

When you install WordPress for your blog, they automatically put what is known as a “trackback file” in the main section of your blog folder. The actual file shows up in your blog folder as “wp-trackback.php”, and has no use except to send you an email pertaining to changes in your WordPress. This file is used to reference comments made on your blog and post changes you may have made in the backend admin, then send you an email with a notification.
When you upgrade your WordPress to the latest versions, WordPress automatically installs the trackback file again. Therefore in order to prevent the trackback messages from clogging up your email, you may want to delete the file each time you have a new update. The file has no purpose that affects the functionality of your blog, so deleting it won’t have any adverse effects.

Blogging Equals More Traffic

I recently discovered a pleasant trend occurring in the statcounter statistics for the traffic on one of the websites I monitor and write for. From the graph on the left, (click to enlarge by the way) we notice the trend remained flat until shortly after I started writing for the website in June.
Before June the number of unique visitors peaked at around 50 per day where now the minimum per day is around 200, even peaking at 1,184 hits on March 21st. The key to acquiring more customers is building website traffic, and in this case I provide proof that blogging on a regular basis does just that.
Add content to your website regularly to provide search engines with more incentive to direct websurfers to your site. Search engines prefer a website that grows, so by adding more pages with blog posts, you offer a healthier online presence. Blogging also offers you the opportunity to advertise your business for free. All you need is some time to write and some ideas to write about.
Do you want to get more traffic to your website online? Inquire about my blogging services for your small business website. Filtering Blog Comment Spam Tips and Advice

Spending time removing email and blog comment spam is a nuisance, so take these tips and advice to save it instead.
When filtering spam comments on your blog, a few considerations need to be focused on. Identify whether you are looking at an actual comment made by a human or one from a program designed to add comments and for the purposes of gaining backlinks. These bots can be eliminated and a large portion of this spam could be filtered by requiring visitors to enter a captcha in order to comment. That way you know every comment posted was entered by a human.
Another great way to filter a large portion of blog comment spam is to use plugins and add-ons that are designed to detect and delete them. They can lessen the load of the number of comments that need to be tossed in the trash and keep your blog spam free.
The tips provided by you are very good and useful. Thanks!
I really enjoyed flicking through this. Think I’m going to look through your other posts!
Besides some of the add-ons and plugins that are offered with most blogs, you may still have to filter some spam that gets through those defenses. When you notice a comment has nothing to do with the post you wrote, chances are you can delete it for being spam. Sometimes you can recoginze blog spam comments by the website it links back to.

Brainstorming Tips and Advice

Refer to these brainstorming tips and advice when you have a task at hand that requires problem solving techniques. When doing web design projects, I find myself using these techniques whether coming up with website page ideas or blog posts.
No matter what project you’re working on, whether for business or scholastic purposes, brainstorming can be an effective strategy. When you have to come up with something from nothing, it’s helpful to have some resources to refer to. Brainstorming is one way to create your own resources with your own imagination.
Make a file on notepad and title it “thinktank” where you can save your concepts. Begin to brainstorm and jot down any ideas you may come up with, no matter how trivial they may seem. Even the most insignificant thoughts could be the inspiration for the creative process. Visit your thinktank regularly to add or expand on your thoughts and ideas.
The more concepts you come up with and write down, the better chances one of them could turn into a great idea. The effort is about quantity, not quality when brainstorming, so write or type as much as possible during your session. Do this for at least 20 minutes or until you just can’t come up with anything else. Think of it like popping popcorn in a microwave. Once the “pops” occur only every 4 seconds, it’s time to take the bag out of the oven.

You can usually upload about a dozen pics to use in your GIF animation and have a variety of options to choose from such as speed, size, looping and the number of pics allowed. The size generally spans from 100 to 400 pix and the speed generally goes from slow to fast, with some other customization available. Once you finished creating your GIF, if it’s under 150 kb, you could even use it as an emoticon on your instant messenger.
